AHS underwent a very successful Ofsted Inspection in November 2006.
"The students' personal development is outstanding overall...Standards are very high throughout the school...The curriculum is outstanding. This is because a very rich and stimulating curriculum is offered to every year group and this is appreciated by the students...The school has an excellent sixth form...The school provides the students with an excellent range of subjects and enrichment activities."
